Story of a #GirlOnTheGo
Moving to the beat of her own creative journey, Kyleen is a singer and actor with a distinctive style. Her effervescence filters into vibrant, soulful vocals and engaging, personable energy as an actor. While growing up in New Jersey, she quickly became accustomed to standing out in her surroundings—the girl with the big voice was a nickname she got used to. She believes her beloved gift was passed down to her from her distant cousin and late jazz legend, Sarah Vaughan.
A graduate of Temple University, an energetic performer, and a former employee of the legendary Philadelphia International Records (Gamble & Huff)—Kyleen has had her hands in a little bit of everything. A real #GirlOnTheGo.
Kyleen has a respectable reputation as an entertainer having rocked many stages including Brooklyn Bowl, Sports Illustrated Stadium, Wolf Studios, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, WAWA Welcome America, Warmdaddy’s, and Long’s Park Amphitheater. In addition to performing with live bands, she has made appearances in several theater productions: PROUD: A Cabaret in Color (Writer/Creator), Passing Strange (Sherry/Renata/Desi), Ragtime (Sarah’s Friend) Sister Act (Deloris), Children of Eden (Eve, Mama Noah), Lizzie (Bridget Sullivan) and HAIR (Dionne) to name a few. Kyleen is also very active in the commercial and TV industries and has proudly booked with Dispatches from Elsewhere, Mare of Easttown, Inspira Health, Main Line Health, Becker’s School Supply, and more.
Her work has garnered media attention from outlets such as The Philadelphia Tribune where she was recognized as a “Women Achieving” honoree. She was also nominated for a BroadwayWorld Delaware Award for Best Actress in a Professional Musical for her role in HAIR.
Kyleen remains true to her passion for bringing joy, warmth, and authenticity to life in her work and continues to use her talents to spread love, laughter, and light.
“…the immensely talented Kyleen Shaw whose strength comes through in both her singing and acting.”
